By participating in society, we sign a contract saying that we will conform to its rules. One of those being that we will participate in commercial transactions. Therefore, we need to work jobs to get money which we use to buy goods and services.
This is made more enjoyable by choosing a profession that you enjoy, or at least tolerate, so that you don’t hate yourself while you earn money.
In my particular case, I choose a career that I enjoy because of the challenges that I am regularly presented with. Since this job is inherently challenging, and I am the type of person that enjoys the process of persisting through challenges until they are solved, I sometimes have trouble with my Work Life Balance
